Holly Doremus is the James H. House and Hiram H. Hurd Professor of Environmental Regulation at the University of California, Berkeley, and serves as Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Research. She co-directs the Law of the Sea Institute and the Berkeley Institute for Parks, People, and Biodiversity, reflecting her interdisciplinary expertise in environmental law and policy.

- Former clerk for Judge Diarmuid F. O’Scannlain (Ninth Circuit)
Doremus bridges law, ecology, and environmental science through her teaching and research. Her work spans administrative law, regulatory frameworks for natural resources, and interdisciplinary collaboration with economists, sociologists, and conservation biologists. She has led grants addressing complex environmental challenges and contributed to national policy discussions as a member of National Research Council committees.
