Christopher Leslie is a Chancellor’s Professor of Law at the University of California, Irvine School of Law, specializing in Antitrust Law, Intellectual Property, and Sexual Orientation and the Law. He holds a J.D. from UC Berkeley, an M.P.P. from Harvard’s Kennedy School, and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from UCLA. His research focuses on antitrust policy, the intersection of IP and competition law, and legal challenges related to sexual orientation discrimination. He authored major works like Antitrust Law and Intellectual Property Rights and co-authored influential treatises such as IP and Antitrust. Notably ranked among the Top Five Most-Cited Antitrust Professors, he has published over 50 law review articles.
Leslie’s career includes clerkships with Ninth Circuit Judge Diarmuid O’Scannlain and antitrust litigation experience. He previously taught at Chicago-Kent College of Law and was a visiting professor at Stanford, UT, and NYU Law. He chairs the AALS Antitrust Law Section and edits the Antitrust Law Journal. His recent work addresses predatory pricing, cartel dynamics, arbitration barriers to antitrust claims, and marriage equality jurisprudence.
