Hollie Trollen is a Lecturer in Criminology and Programme Lead for the MSc Criminology at the University of Chichester. She also serves as Marketing Officer for The Human Factor Professional Learning Programme and participates in the Apprenticeship Progress Review Team. As a PhD candidate, her research focuses on empowering police personnel to report misconduct and systemic barriers within policing.
Education includes a BSc in Communication and Media, a Post-Grad Conversion & Diploma in Psychology, and an MSc in Criminology. Prior to academia, she worked in the Public Protection sector, Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), and as a MARAC Coordinator addressing high-risk domestic abuse cases.
Her research is part of the Sexualised Violence and Abuse Research Lab, exploring psychosocial factors in sexual violence prevention and recovery. She advocates for trauma-informed interventions and systemic change in reporting mechanisms within law enforcement.
