Holland Hopson is an Assistant Professor of Arts Entrepreneurship at the University of Alabama's New College. He holds an MFA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (1998) and a BA from Birmingham-Southern College (1993). His work focuses on sound and media art, incorporating custom sensor interfaces, interactive computer programs, and performances on clawhammer banjo/electric guitar hybrids. He collaborates with experimental musicians like Anthony Braxton and George Lewis, and has residencies at institutions such as Stove Works (Chattanooga) and Harvestworks (New York).
