Ho-Sheng Lin, M.D., FACS, is Professor and Chairman of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He holds clinical privileges at DMC Harper University Hospital, Karmanos Cancer Institute, and John D. Dingell VA Medical Center. Dr. Lin completed his M.D. at Yale University, residency at Cornell/NYU, and fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology at Stanford. His clinical expertise includes robotic surgery for sleep apnea and head/neck cancer, minimally invasive thyroidectomy, and complex oncologic reconstructions.
Research Focus: Dr. Lin leads NIH/DoD-funded projects on head/neck cancer biomarkers and sleep apnea therapies. His work on serum protein microarrays for early cancer detection achieved 85% diagnostic accuracy. He pioneers transoral robotic surgery (TORS) for obstructive sleep apnea, with studies on hypoglossal nerve stimulation outcomes.
