Himanshu Yadav is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cognitive Science at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India, where he leads the Language Processing Lab. He earned his Ph.D. under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shravan Vasishth at the University of Potsdam, Germany.
Research Interests:
- Cognitive processes underlying human language comprehension and production
- How language is processed, represented, and acquired in the mind
- Interaction between language and other cognitive processes such as working memory, attention, and decision-making
- Quantitative distribution of structural preferences in language evolution
His methodological toolkit includes Bayesian modeling (including approximate Bayesian computation), psycholinguistic experimentation, and cross-linguistic corpora analysis.
