Hilary Young is Professor of Law at the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law. Her internationally recognized research focuses on defamation law, tort reform, and health law, with work cited by the Supreme Court of Canada. She co-authors foundational Canadian legal texts including Canadian Tort Law and Remedies: Cases and Materials.
Current research chairs the Uniform Law Conference Working Group on defamation law reform and contributes to anti-SLAPP legislation development. Courses taught include Torts, Remedies, Health Law, Defamation and Privacy Law, and Advanced Torts.
