Norman Siebrasse is a Professor at the Faculty of Law, University of New Brunswick (UNB). He joined UNB in 1993 after completing an LLM at the University of Chicago and clerking at the Supreme Court of Canada for Justice Beverley McLachlin (1991-1992). His research focuses on patent law, particularly pharmaceutical patents, patent remedies, and intersections of intellectual property with commercial law. He maintains the widely cited blog Sufficient Description, which analyzes Canadian patent law cases and is frequently referenced by courts.

He actively contributes to professional bodies, serving on the Life Sciences and Patent Legislation Committees of the Intellectual Property Institute of Canada. His work bridges legal theory and practice, influencing both academic discourse and judicial decisions in Canadian IP law.
