Hila Etzion is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Information Technology at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan. She holds a PhD (2005) and MS (2003) from the William E. Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester, and a BS (1999) from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
Her research focuses on electronic commerce and digital markets, applying game theory to model optimal strategies for online sellers. Key areas include analyzing auction mechanisms, multi-channel pricing strategies, and the impact of online reviews on consumer behavior. Her work has been published in top journals like MIS Quarterly and Production and Operations Management.
Dr. Etzion teaches courses on decision support systems, data programming, and data-driven management. Her research explores strategic adjustments for firms facing network effects and competitive market dynamics in digital environments.
