Hershey Bell

Hershey Bell serves as the founding Dean of the College of Medicine at Methodist University since May 2023 and concurrently holds the position of Vice President and Chief Academic Officer at Cape Fear Valley Health. His leadership spans multiple prestigious institutions including Duke University, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM), and Hamot Medical Center.

Dr. Bell's research pioneers competency-based medical education frameworks adopted by ACGME and AOA nationwide, with core interests in doctor-patient relationship dynamics and social accountability in clinical training. His teaching portfolio prominently features epidemiology, biostatistics, and empathy cultivation in medical practice.
