Luke Gilmore

Dr. Luke Gilmore serves as Assistant Professor and Director of Experiential Education at the School of Pharmacy, Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM). With over 20 years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience including Rite Aid corporate roles and hospital pharmacy directorships at UPMC Kane and UPMC Hamot, he integrates extensive industry expertise into his academic position.

His educational background includes:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from Duquesne University

Dr. Gilmore's research and practice focus on advancing outpatient clinical pharmacy services, with emphasis on medication therapy management, immunization protocols, point-of-care diagnostics, and diabetes care optimization. He actively develops leadership capabilities within pharmacy teams while contributing to pharmacy education curriculum development.

Throughout his career, Dr. Gilmore has precepted numerous pharmacy students during experiential rotations, providing hands-on mentorship that bridges academic training with real-world clinical practice.
