Hernán D. Seoane-Bernadaz is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) since June 2017, following his tenure as an Assistant Professor at the same institution from 2011. He holds a PhD in Economics from Duke University (2011) under the supervision of Juan F. Rubio-Ramirez, alongside advanced degrees from Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina) and the University of Buenos Aires. His research focuses on International Macroeconomics, Bayesian Econometrics, and Numerical Methods, with emphasis on macroeconomic instability in open and emerging economies, sovereign debt crises, and financial fragility. He is a Ramón y Cajal Researcher and Fellow, reflecting his scholarly recognition. He teaches courses such as Monetary and Financial Macroeconomics, Macroeconomics (Masters), and Advanced Macroeconomics: Topics in International Macroeconomics (PhD).
