Nicolas Ajzenman is an Assistant Professor of Economics at McGill University, affiliated with the Department of Economics, Faculty of Arts. He holds research positions at J-PAL, IZA, EGAP, CSDC, and ISID. His expertise lies in behavioral economics, development economics, and political economy, with a focus on Latin America. Ajzenman has advised governments and organizations in Latin America, including the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and Argentina’s Nudge Unit.
Education: PhD in Economics (Sciences Po), MPA in International Development (Harvard), MA in Economics (Universidad de San Andres), BA in Economics (Universidad de Buenos Aires).
Research Interests include applied microeconometrics, causal inference, corruption, crime economics, education policy, and immigration. His work bridges theoretical models with field experiments, often addressing policy-relevant questions in Latin America.
