Martin Gonzalez Eiras

Martin Gonzalez Eiras is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Bologna since 2021. He holds a PhD in Economics from MIT and licentiates in Economics and Physics from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. His research focuses on Macroeconomics, Finance, Political Economy, and Public Finance.

• Previously held positions at the University of Copenhagen, Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile), and Universidad de San Andrés (Argentina).
• Visiting Professor at Study Center Gerzensee since 2010.
• Visiting research roles at IIES, Columbia University, Bank of Spain, and CEMFI.

His work has been published in journals such as the Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Public Economics, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. Recognized for contributions through awards like the GDN First Prize medal and Fulbright grant.
