Dr. Herman Sahni is an Associate Professor of Economics and Finance at Baldwin Wallace University. She coordinates the economics program and specializes in applied microeconomics, real-time data analysis, and econometric modeling. Her research spans labor economics, health economics, and corporate governance, with publications in journals like Tourism Economics and Journal of Family and Economic Issues.
Her research interests include:
- Labor supply effects of health conditions like Alzheimer's
- Household electrification impacts in rural India
- Corporate governance and financial efficiency
She has received prestigious awards including the Doctoral Completion Fellowship (2015) and presents regularly at major economics conferences. Her recent articles focus on tourism economics, African development, and gender wage gaps.
Dr. Sahni serves as BW's liaison to the Committee on the Status of Women in the Economics Profession and holds memberships in AEA and MEA.
