Dr. Henrik Cronqvist is a Professor of Finance at Chapman University's George L. Argyros College of Business and Economics, where he has served since 2022. Previously, he held distinguished positions including Vice Dean at the University of Miami Herbert Business School, Zhongkun Group Chair at CEIBS (China), and McMahon Family Chair at Claremont McKenna College. He earned his Doctor of Science from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business under Nobel Laureate Richard Thaler and holds an MS from the Stockholm School of Economics.
His research examines investor behavior through cultural, social, and biological lenses, with emphases on:
- Behavioral corporate finance and decision-making biases
- Socioeconomic influences on executive policies
- Genetic and developmental origins of financial preferences
- Cross-cultural determinants of economic behavior
