Helen Philippou is a Professor at the University of Leeds, affiliated with the School of Medicine and the Division of Cardiovascular and Diabetes Research. Her work focuses on advancing safer antithrombotic therapies and understanding coagulation mechanisms.

- Clot formation and stability in vitro and in vivo.
- Enhancing fibrinolytic therapy for improved clot lysis.
- Preventing trauma-associated bleeding complications.
Academic Leadership: As Principal Investigator and Founding Director of Lunac Therapeutics Limited, she bridges academic research with commercialization. She supervises 3 PhD students directly and co-supervises 4 more, fostering global postgraduate research opportunities.
