Research Interests
Lunnon’s scholarship centres on the architecture and visual culture of medieval England, with a particular focus on parish-church porches as liminal spaces that negotiate liturgy, patronage and design. Her work integrates architectural history, archaeological analysis and museological theory to explore how ecclesiastical structures convey symbolic meaning and social memory.
Publication Trends
Across her nine research outputs, Lunnon consistently examines East-Anglian church porches from c.1250-1510, tracing how biblical descriptions—especially of Solomon’s Temple—were imaginatively translated into Gothic architecture. Her publications combine close formal analysis with broader cultural readings, covering topics from cloistral influences to gatehouse typologies.
Current & Future Work
She is presently accepting PhD proposals in medieval ecclesiastical architecture and heritage interpretation, leveraging her dual expertise in academic research and professional museum practice.
