Helen Grant

Helen Grant is a Professor of Law at Elon University School of Law, where she holds a permanent faculty position. She is a member of the charter faculty at Elon Law and has held academic roles at Indiana University Law School - Indianapolis, the University of Louisville (as Distinguished Visiting Professor of Law), and the University of Queensland in Australia (11 years). Her professional practice includes roles as presiding legal member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal and legal officer in the Office of the Special Prosecutor in Brisbane.

Her research focuses on administrative law, tort law, health law, immigration law, and refugee/asylum law. She has contributed to legal scholarship through co-authoring the 10th edition of the influential Australian casebook Torts: Commentary and Materials.
