Helen Franziska Veit is a Research Fellow and postdoctoral researcher at the Ludwig Uhland Institute for Historical and Cultural Anthropology at the University of Tübingen, within the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences. Her work focuses on the anthropology of emotions, practices of privacy and publicity, performance, and digital transformations of cultural memory.
Education:
- MA in Historical and Cultural Anthropology, University of Tübingen (2011-2016), with studies at Universitetet i Oslo.
- BA in Cultural Studies, University of Koblenz (2008-2011), focusing on ethnology, media studies, and philosophy.
Research Interests: Veit explores emotional practices of failure, digital memorial culture (e.g., virtual tours and AR tools for Holocaust sites), and the intersection of practice theory with emotion studies. She coordinates an Israeli-German research project and is part of the Digital Anthropology Lab.
