Dr. Heike Bormuth serves as Assistant Professor of Digital Education in History at the University of Tübingen's Faculty of Humanities, Department of History since June 2025. Her research bridges historical scholarship with contemporary digital educational practices.
Her research interests focus on Digital History Education, Historical Thinking Development, and Digital Historical Culture. She investigates how digital environments transform historical consciousness and develops frameworks for historical sovereignty in digital contexts. Her work emphasizes teacher training and inclusive pedagogical approaches for history education in digital societies.
