Heike Bormuth

Dr. Heike Bormuth is a Researcher at the Faculty of Education, University of Hamburg, affiliated with the Department of Didactics of Social Sciences and Mathematics/Natural Sciences. She holds a PhD in History from the University of Mannheim (2016) and specializes in history education, digital pedagogy, and inclusive teaching methodologies.

Her research explores the intersection of historical education and modern pedagogical challenges, including:

• Developing scaffolding techniques for inclusive history classrooms
• Leveraging linguistic landscapes for multilingual education
• Digital transformation in history teaching
• Critical analysis of historical revisionism

Bormuth has led multiple federally funded projects including DiSo-SGW (digital history education) and contributes to international collaborations on innovative teaching frameworks.
