Heidi Reinson is a Junior Research Fellow in Behavioral Economics at the University of Tartu's Institute of Psychology (0.50 FTE, 01.10.2024–29.08.2025) and an Economic Behavior Lecturer at the University of Tartu (0.10 FTE, 2023–) and the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (0.10 FTE, 2013–). Her research focuses on decision-making processes in public policy contexts, behavioral economics, and social psychology. She is pursuing a PhD at the University of Tartu on 'Understanding and influencing one-off consequential decisions: the case of Estonian pension reform' under Andero Uusberg.
Education: PhD studies at University of Tartu (2020–); MSc in Cognitive and Decision Sciences from University College London (2010–2012); BSc from Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (2003–2006).
Research interests include behavioral interventions in taxation, juvenile justice, and gender equality in technology sectors. She contributes to projects like the 'Heaoluteaduste tippkeskus' (2024–2030) and 'Teaduspõhine lähenemine kelmuste ennetamiseks Eestis' (2025–2026).
Key projects include analyzing gender stereotypes in ICT sectors, behavioral nudges for career choices, and policy evaluations on pension reforms. Her work bridges experimental psychology with applied social science to inform public policy.
