Ruth Rebecca Tietjen

Ruth Rebecca Tietjen is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Philosophy, Tilburg University. She is also the Pof. Dr. Theda Rehbock’s Philosophy Resident at Susimetsa Philosophicum. Her research focuses on existential, social, and political dimensions of loneliness, intersecting with themes like radicalization, feminist theory, and social marginalization. She will present a talk titled "Variations on loneliness: existential, social, political" at the University of Tartu, highlighting her work on loneliness as a global mental health issue with political and ethical implications.
