Heide Siggelkow is an Adjunct Professor at the Georg-August University of Göttingen and Medical Director of the endokrinologikum Göttingen since 2006. She is affiliated with the Department of Gastroenterology and Endocrinology at the University Medical Center Göttingen.

Her research focuses on bone metabolism, osteoporosis, and endocrine disorders affecting calcium regulation, parathyroid function, and rare bone diseases like pseudohypoparathyroidism. She has extensively studied the interplay between inflammation (e.g., Crohn's disease) and bone resorption, as well as hypoparathyroidism and Turner syndrome.
Recent publications analyze trends in parathyroid disorder management, thyroid-bone interactions, and hypercalcemia diagnostics. Her work addresses therapeutic gaps in rare osteopathies and innovative use of mesenchymal stem cell models.
