Heather Morgan-Sowada is an Associate Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Mount Mercy University, where she also serves as a faculty member in the Graduate Programs for Master of Arts and PhD in Marriage & Family Therapy. She is licensed in Iowa and maintains a private practice at Cornerstone Brief Therapy, Inc., specializing in treating individuals, couples, and families with a focus on Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) and LGBTQ+ mental health. Her academic background includes a PhD in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Iowa (ABD, graduating May 2018) and degrees from Mount Mercy University.
