Heather Marx

Heather Marx serves as an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Law, teaching bankruptcy litigation clinics, and concurrently holds leadership roles at Cozen O'Connor as Vice Chair of the Customs, Imports, and Trade Remedies practice and Office Managing Partner in Minneapolis. She specializes in complex commercial litigation, trade law, bankruptcy proceedings, and employment law. Her career spans over two decades, with a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center (2002) and a B.A. from Gustavus Adolphus College (1999).

Her expertise includes navigating international trade challenges, including anti-dumping/countervailing duty cases, customs compliance, and WTO litigation. She advises multinational corporations on trade strategies and represents clients in federal courts and administrative agencies. Notable achievements include securing appellate victories, dismissing multi-million-dollar claims, and leading trade remedy litigation.

Marx is a frequent speaker on trade, contracts, and employment law, authoring publications on tariff mitigation and supply chain resilience. Awards include Minnesota Lawyer’s 'Top Women in Law' (2023), The American Lawyer’s Midwest Trailblazer (2021), and consistent recognition as a North Star Lawyer for pro bono service since 2016.
