Heather Kolinsky is a Professor of Practice at Washington and Lee University School of Law, where she teaches legal writing and professional responsibility. She joined the faculty in 2021 after serving as a law clerk to Magistrate Judge Gregory J. Kelly and practicing appellate law in Florida. Her scholarly work focuses on gender and law, corporate personhood, and vulnerability theory. Her recent publication in the Florida Bar Journal explores innovative legal writing techniques, emphasizing storytelling and factual analysis in legal memoranda and briefs. Outside academia, Kolinsky enjoys outdoor activities like kayaking, hiking, and scuba diving, and she is an avid traveler with plans to visit Japan and South Korea.
