Heather Hoffmann

Dr. Heather Hoffmann is a faculty member at McGovern Medical School and former Instructional Associate Professor at EnMed School of Engineering Medicine. She holds an MD from the University of Louisville School of Medicine and completed a surgical pathology fellowship at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. She served as Residency Program Director in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, emphasizing clinical and educational roles.

Her research focuses on gynecologic tumors, nursing home restraint-related deaths, tuberculosis immunobiology, and complications of organ transplantation. She co-edited Integrated Vignettes (2019), a multidisciplinary resource merging physiology, pathology, and pharmacology.
