Devin L. Shrock, M.D., serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. His clinical practice specializes in cytopathology and surgical pathology with subspecialized expertise in head and neck and gynecologic pathology.
Dr. Shrock earned dual bachelor's degrees in Cell Biology and Psychology from the University of Kansas, followed by his M.D. from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. His postgraduate training includes residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and fellowships in Surgical Pathology and Cytopathology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
His research spans cytopathology, surgical pathology, and subspecialized domains including endocrine pathology, neuropathology, and infectious disease pathology. Current investigations focus on diagnostic markers for pituitary tumors, salivary gland disorders in autoimmune conditions, pediatric tumor biomarkers, and zoonotic gastrointestinal pathogens.
Recent publications demonstrate consistent contributions across diagnostic pathology subfields, particularly in immunohistochemical tumor classification, translational biomarker applications, and clinicopathological correlations in rare disease entities.
