Heath Fogg Davis is a tenured Professor and Department Chair in the Political Science department at Temple University's College of Liberal Arts. He also serves as Director of the Intellectual Heritage Program and is affiliated with the Gender, Sexuality and Women's Studies program.
Research Interests: His work focuses on antidiscrimination law, transgender civil rights, and political theory, addressing systemic inequalities in education, sports, and public policy. His book Beyond Trans: Does Gender Matter? proposes institutional frameworks for gender inclusivity.
Media and Public Engagement: A sought-after commentator, he has been featured in CNN.com, Washington Post, MSNBC, and NPR, analyzing gender categorization in sports and healthcare. He also consults for organizations and served on Philadelphia's Mayor’s Commission on LGBT Affairs.
