Hazel P Crichton is a Lecturer in Pedagogy, Praxis & Faith at the University of Glasgow, School of Education. She holds a PhD and has extensive experience as a modern languages teacher and Principal Teacher in Glasgow and Edinburgh schools. Prior to joining Glasgow, she was a Lecturer in Modern Languages at the University of Edinburgh. Her research focuses on language teaching pedagogy, classroom interaction, intercultural communication, and bilingualism. Hazel has supervised numerous PhD students researching global education challenges, including English teaching reforms in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Libya.
- Recipient of grants totaling over £30,000 from bodies like the British Council and Comenius Regio for research into EAL learners and bilingual education.
- Author of 29+ publications, including works on error correction strategies and the impact of educational policies in Scotland and beyond.
