Hazal Bayar holds a BA in Communication and an MA in Editing from Bournemouth University (UK), followed by dual PhDs: one in Film Studies from the European Graduate School (Switzerland) with a thesis on 'Hysterical Female Characters in Horror Cinema', and another in Design Studies at Izmir University of Economics on 'Kawaii Horror'. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cinema and Digital Media at Izmir University of Economics.

Her experimental horror short Her Şey Sinirimi Bozuyor has been featured at numerous national and international festivals.
