Hayley Chauhdry is an Associate Head in the School of Health and Social Care at Sheffield Hallam University, focusing on interprofessional education and leading the Experts by Experience Team. She holds academic qualifications including RN, BA (Hons), PGCE, and MMedSci. With prior clinical experience in acute stroke and community nursing, she transitioned to academia in 2015 as a lecturer.
Her teaching spans BSc/MSc nursing courses, with roles as module leader and recruitment lead for nursing and midwifery. Research interests include stroke care, public health, and interprofessional learning. She has published on therapeutic communication in nursing education and stroke management strategies.
Hayley supervises Level 7 dissertation students and serves as a co-opted governor at a local primary school. Her Experts by Experience initiative integrates lived-experience insights into student training.
