Hasina Samji is an Associate Professor in SFU's Faculty of Health Sciences and Senior Scientist in Population Mental Wellbeing at the BC Centre for Disease Control. She leads the CHART Lab focused on social determinants of mental health and youth wellbeing.
Her research examines population mental health systems, school-based interventions, and equity-focused approaches for marginalized youth. Dr. Samji is principal investigator of the Youth Development Instrument (YDI), a provincial study measuring predictors of positive youth development in high school students.
