Harwell Wells is a Professor at Temple University, specializing in corporate law, legal history, and professional responsibility. He co-authored the leading treatise O’Neal and Thompson’s Close Corporations and LLCs: Law and Practice. His expertise includes business organizations, torts, and unincorporated business associations. Dr. Wells holds a J.D. (Order of the Coif) from Vanderbilt University School of Law, a Ph.D. in American History from the University of Virginia, an M.A. from the University of Iowa, and a B.A. from Williams College.

Prior to joining Temple in 2006, Dr. Wells clerked for Judge Gilbert Merritt of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and practiced securities law at Wilmer, Cutler, & Pickering in Washington, D.C.
