Haruki Sawamura is a researcher at École Polytechnique’s Centre for Management Research (CRG) and Institut interdisciplinaire de l’innovation (i3). His work focuses on innovation ecosystems, business model dynamics, and the societal impacts of connectivity technologies. He holds a PhD from École Polytechnique, an MSc in Technology Management for Innovation from the University of Tokyo, and a BSc in Applied Physics from Waseda University.
Research Interests: His primary research examines the diffusion of electric vehicles in Indian cities, organizational innovation processes, and the role of connectivity technologies in enabling automated service ecosystems. He explores how human agency shapes future societal infrastructure, particularly in information and communication technology (ICT) frameworks.
Recent Work: As a FFJ/Valeo Fellow (2019), he investigated connectivity technologies’ role in enabling automated service deployments, analyzing case studies of mobility service providers. This research contributes to organizational change management and business model innovation studies.
