Harry Ross

Harry Ross is a Visiting Research Fellow at the Veterans and Families Institute for Military Social Research within the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care at Anglia Ruskin University. He concurrently serves as a Visiting Lecturer at Moray School of Art, University of the Highlands and Islands, and an Expert in Residence at The Alan Turing Institute's Practitioners Hub, while advising the British Army Reserve as a Specialist Advisor in Creative Production.

His research examines military-veteran societal integration through creative practice, focusing on auto-ethnographic exploration of language, conflict, and masculinity via Scots Gaelic performance and video. This work manifests in projects like "I, Highland Warrior" and "Oran do mo Shinn Sheanair", investigating colonial legacies and the Highland Military Imaginary to challenge hagiographic narratives of Scottish warriors.
