Dr. Harold N. Trick is a Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology at Kansas State University. He leads the KSU Plant Transformation Facility, established in 1998, and focuses on biotechnology applications for crop improvement in wheat and soybean. His research emphasizes enhancing abiotic stress tolerance and plant protection through genetic engineering.
Education:
- Ph.D. Biology, Florida State University, 1995
- M.A. Biology, SUNY Binghamton, 1989
- B.S. Biochemistry, SUNY Binghamton, 1985
Research Interests: Dr. Trick’s work integrates biotechnology with plant pathology, targeting crop resilience via genetic modification. His projects address challenges such as disease resistance and environmental stress adaptation in major agricultural crops.
Labs & Facilities: He oversees the KSU Plant Transformation Facility, a key resource for plant biotechnology research. Collaborations include the Wheat Genetics Resource Center and the Integrated Genomics Facility.
