Harlee Sorkin

Harlee Sorkin is a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois and serves as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at EnterpriseWorks in the Research Park. He is co-founder and Managing Director of Common Place Holdings, LLC, a health tech venture studio focused on seed funding and management for startups. Previously, he led Traco Labs, Inc. to a successful acquisition by Degussa AG and maintained a 15-year consulting practice in business formation and product development.

Education: BS in Psychology from the University of Illinois.

His research and professional activities emphasize entrepreneurship education, health technology innovation, and scaling startups through strategic management. He teaches courses such as 'From Idea to Enterprise' and 'Bootstrap to VC: Fund Startup,' integrating practical business development skills with academic instruction.
