Harald Samuel is a Lecturer in Hebrew and Old Testament at Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen since 2024. He previously held the Departmental Lecturer in Classical Hebrew role at the Faculty of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, University of Oxford (2021-2023), and served as Deputy Chair of History and Religious History of Israel and its Environment at the University of Leipzig (2020-2021). His academic career spans research and teaching roles since 2012, with a habilitation thesis on Linguistic Dating methods in Old Testament studies.
