Hanni Flaherty is an Assistant Professor and Chair of Advanced Clinical Practice at Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work. She holds a PhD and MSW from New York University and a BA from Hofstra University.

Dr. Flaherty specializes in clinical social work, focusing on adolescent high-risk behaviors and innovation implementation. Her research examines factors enabling evidence-based practice (EBP) adoption in youth mental health clinics and teaching EBPs through hybrid/online education. She has contributed extensively to understanding non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI), ChatGPT's role in education, and trauma-informed care for domestic violence counselors.
