Dr. Lynn H. Levy is an Associate Clinical Professor at Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work, serving since 2006. She holds leadership roles including faculty liaison for Student Government and NASW NY Chapter, and co-liaison for New York State Society for Clinical Social Workers. Dr. Levy initiated student support programs like the Peer Mentoring Program and Writing Support Services. She chairs key courses such as Philosophical Foundations of Social Work and co-chairs Generalist Practice I/II and HBSE. Her teaching spans masters, doctoral, online, and rabbinic certificate programs.
Education: BA (Hofstra University), MSW and PhD (Yeshiva University/Wurzweiler School of Social Work). Research focuses on spirituality in social work, Jewish community volunteerism trends, and psychological healing from trauma. Active in curriculum development, including courses like Changing Jewish Family and Philosophical Foundations of Helping Professions.
Service roles include chairing the Governance Committee and participating in Admissions, Curriculum, and Doctoral committees. She organizes professional development initiatives like Common Day and Lobby Day, and co-led a trauma recovery program for students in Israel. Previously directed premarital education at the Union for Reform Judaism, developing nationally recognized programs.
