Dr. Hannah Wing serves as an Assistant Professor in the Elliott School of Communication within the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Wichita State University. Her research investigates how media narratives shape personal identity construction and analyzes consumer-persona dynamics in social and entertainment media contexts.
Her academic foundation includes a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University (2021) and a B.A. from Brigham Young University (2015). Prior to academia, she worked professionally as an advertising copywriter, bringing industry experience to her scholarly work.
Dr. Wing's research spans Media Studies, Communication theory, Narrative frameworks, Social Media ecosystems, Advertising practices, and Entertainment Media analysis. Her work critically examines how digital narratives influence self-perception and interpersonal dynamics in contemporary media environments.
She teaches core communication courses including:
