Hannah Borenstein is Assistant Professor of Anthropology researching intersections of sports, race, and labor politics, with specialized focus on Ethiopian women distance runners. She leads ethnographic studies on athletic labor migration and transnational sporting economies.
Research Impact: Fulbright Fellow and author of forthcoming book Running to Labor examining global political economies shaping women athletes' lives. Recipient of Smithsonian and Wenner-Gren research grants.
