Han Dongqing is a Professor and doctoral advisor at the School of Architecture, Southeast University, where he serves as executive director of the Academic Committee and concurrently as chief architect of Architects & Engineers Co., Ltd. of Southeast University.

His research focuses on public architectural design theory and urban design methodology. He has led over 40 architectural engineering design projects and 20 urban design projects, contributing to both practice and theory in the field.
Han has received more than 20 provincial and ministerial excellent engineering design awards, including multiple national and ministerial first prizes. His academic contributions include 5 monographs, 2 translations, and over 80 papers.
He actively participates in international design exhibitions and symposia, such as the SEU-PENN International Symposium and AAAC INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCES II. His teaching includes undergraduate and graduate courses in architectural and urban design.
