Hafiz Naderi

Dr Hafiz Naderi is an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Cardiology at Queen Mary University of London and St Bartholomew’s Hospital, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR). He holds a medical degree from Barts and The London School of Medicine with a first-class honours intercalated degree in Molecular Therapeutics (2012), followed by Royal College of Physicians membership (2015). His clinical training includes general cardiology in Northwest London and sub-specialization in cardiac imaging at Hammersmith Hospital.

His research focuses on hypertension-mediated cardiac remodelling using machine learning and multi-dimensional data. Key projects include predicting left ventricular hypertrophy using AI techniques, supported by the British Heart Foundation Pat Merriman Fellowship. Awards include the Alfred Thomas Corrie Prize (2020), Young Investigator Award (2022), and Early Career Researcher Award (2024) from the British and Irish Hypertension Society.

Dr Naderi’s work spans clinical practice, research, and public engagement. He chairs national committees in the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging and European Society of Hypertension.
