Dr. Hae Rim (Helen) Jin is an Associate Professor of Criminology in the Department of Social and Cultural Sciences at the University of Houston-Clear Lake's College of Human Sciences and Humanities. She specializes in violence against women, intimate partner violence, and the intersection of law and psychology.
- PhD in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University
- MA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay University
- BS in Criminal Justice, Criminology, and Psychology from Arizona State University
Her research focuses on:
- Victimization experiences of sexual minorities
- Bystander intervention strategies
- Governance of gender-based violence
Dr. Jin's work has been published in Women and Criminal Justice and Journal of School Violence. She teaches courses including Criminology, Victimology, and Gender and Crime.
