Professor H.L. Aalbers (Rick) holds the Chair of Corporate Restructuring and Innovation at the Department of Business Administration, Radboud University. He has held visiting scholar positions at Imperial College London and Tokyo Institute of Technology, and serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Management Studies.

His research focuses on three key areas: Responsible Restructuring (examining ethical downsizing practices), Corporate Collaboration (innovation through intra-organizational networks), and Organizational Resilience (structural adaptations during transformation). He has secured over €1.5 million in EU/National grants including Horizon2020's FINDER program and NWO grants.
Recent publications appear in Research Policy, European Management Journal, and MIT Sloan Management Review (where his 2011 paper won the Richard Beckhard Memorial Prize). His work has been recognized with the ROA Professional Publication Prize (2014) and University of Groningen's Best Dissertation Award.
