Hamid BOUCHIKHI is a Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at ESSEC Business School in France, serving as Academic Director of ESSEC Ventures. He holds a Doctorat en Méthodes scientifiques de gestion from Université Paris Dauphine-PSL (1988). His academic leadership roles include Head of the Department of Management (2022–2025) and Dean of SolBridge International School of Business in South Korea (2019–2021). BOUCHIKHI’s research focuses on organizational identity, strategic management, and institutional processes, with over 100 publications in leading journals like Organization Studies and Industrial and Corporate Change. He has authored influential books such as The Soul of the Corporation (2007) and Le Maroc à bâtons rompus (2017).
His awards include the Richard Beckhard Memorial Prize (2014) and the Hamid Bouchikhi Chair in Managerial Innovation (2022). He serves on high-level advisory boards, including Morocco’s High Council for Education and AACSB accreditation teams. BOUCHIKHI’s work bridges academic rigor with practical impact, addressing challenges in business education, organizational change, and national development strategies, particularly in Morocco and Africa.
